Jota Dale on the guitars e Lupa Marques on the drums: a free improv duo that in each performance plays scores composed right on the spot, coming up with an unique set that will never be heard again. They’ve been playing together for more than 15 years as members of Satanique Samba Trio and many other projects - and their musical bond shows, as they manage to share the stage equally, displaying a perfect affinity of ideas and a rare ability of mutual reading, typical of old and well-formed musical acquaintances.
Duo Má Vontade’s style embraces Brazilian music with a twist of noise, silence and odd textures, experimenting free with different concepts, instruments and electronic gear.
In 2021 they entered the studio with the firm purpose of recording some of their performances. 7 days later, they amassed a vast material that will be released in 2022 by the Torto Disco label: four albums with graphical and conceptual unity, carried over by the visual artist Manuela Dib over Duo Má Vontade’s improvisations.
